About Alex

I am an open-minded, fun-loving childcare professional with over 10 years of childcare experience- I have worked in less formal settings as a babysitter, a nanny, and an au pair. I have also worked with the Boys and Girls Club as a Child Development Specialist. I am seeking a full-time nanny role as a legal household employee. I believe in taking a 'gentle/respectful childcare' approach! It's important to understand that kids are *not* just mini-adults. Their brains are still developing and oftentimes need help learning healthy emotional processing skills. I want to work on that with them. I love baking and cooking and gardening. I'd love to cook with the kiddos and teach them kitchen safety. I love music despite having no musical talents to speak of-- let's have impromptu dance parties and sing loudly off-key to whatever music is playing!
