I have been babysitting since my little brother was born in 1999. I would assisted in taking care of him since he was a newborn, and began babysitting him when my parents would go to work when I was age 7. since then I have babysat for friends and acquaintances on over 200 occasions from newborns to 8 years old.

i love children and plan on having 5 one day. I get joy out of making them smile and laugh. I feel accomplished when I enforce the boundaries the parents have set, while maintaining the child’s love and affection. the children must obey the rules the parents have outlined, but I try to do it in such a way that lets the child know I’m not the enemy, and, making sure the child understands this is all out of love and their best interest.

what’s also very important is the child has fun while they are with me. I love it when the children I babysit jump for joy when they see me. if they don’t, I reevaluate, and make adjustments. while rules have to be followed, I love to be loved
