I am a senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusets double majoring in Robotics Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Don’t worry I won’t bore your child with the theories behind quantum physics. I have relocated to Fremont for the summer to complete my summer internship as an Electrical Engineer. For the past five summers, I have worked as a summer camp teaching assistant with children ranging from grades 3rd – 12th. In high school I was the marketing chairman for my robotics team, putting me in charge of our community engagement projects that hosted over 35,000 local kids throughout the year. This past winter, I spent two months in Nong Khai, Thailand developing solar energy alternatives for an orphanage. They were experiencing frequent power outages that greatly disturbed their everyday functions and scared most of the children, especially the toddlers. My team and I provided solar energy equipment and solar panel recommendations that would benefit the 160 children the most and provided them with educational infographics. Since I don’t do much in the afternoons except study for my graduate school exam and some coding practices, I decided I prefer doing something else that I am good at which is bringing children joy. I enjoy spending time with kids because they are the brains of the future and they are so much more advanced than all of us, it is so interesting to see what they know and what they love.
