My name is Jessica and I have over 16 years of experience working with children ages 6 months to 13 years old. I am vaccinated and CPR certified. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. I have worked in three different preschools, with a variety of age groups. I had my own one-year-old classroom and I was a Head Start (3-5 year olds) and Early Head Start teacher (1-3 year olds). In those classrooms I was responsible for creating weekly lesson plans according to individualized goals for each child. I also kept track of students' progress with ongoing observation records, as well as behavioral observation records. I kept in constant contact with parents through home visits and parent-teacher conferences. I have also worked as a substitute teacher for all classrooms, infants through pre-K. I do have a little experience children with disabilities and delays, as Read more I had a child with autism in my Early Head Start class, and when I did not feel I had enough training on the subject, I took it upon myself to do my own research to better serve the child. When I started working in the childcare field, I earned my 40 Hour Introductory Childcare Training credits and since then I also earned my FCCPC Staff Credential, which included 120 hours of online training courses, putting together a portfolio, (which included completes Ages and Stages Questionnaires, research articles, essays, and children's' artwork,) and undergoing an in-class observation. I also have experience as an afterschool nanny and a kindergarten readiness tutor. During this past school year, I have been working with elementary school children, assisting them with virtual school, keeping them on task, helping with assignments, and further explaining lessons that weren't understood. I currently nanny for a toddler. I like to have fun, I like to read to children, and I am awesome at the ABC song!
