Hi! My name is Lauren. I am currently a student in the School Psychology Ph.D. program at Loyola University. I recently moved back to Chicago from NYC where I attended Columbia University and received an Ed.M and M.A, also in School Psychology. Before moving to New York, I worked for two years at Lurie Children's Hospital in the field of Child Health Research. As an undergraduate student (also at Loyola), I babysat and nannied for numerous families throughout Chicago area. My first two summers in Chicago I also worked as a one-on-one aid in a Special Education summer school classroom and continued the position by being a sub-aide during my school breaks. I have an extensive background working with children of all ages (newborn to high school). I am very creative, organized and outgoing. We LOVE Lauren!!! Lauren worked for me for almost a year and primarily focused on my very busy 2 yr old. They had a great relationship and he absolutely adored her. She was creative, sweet, patient and always cheerful. Lauren was always punctual and if she were running late due to the subways would always call. My other two children loved when she would come babysit for us on the wknds so they could spend time with her as well. They literally pushed us out the door. Lauren has a good head on her and can make thoughtful and educated decisions. I trusted her with my children and knew they were in good hands. She thoughtfully cleaned up after playtimes and always made well-balanced meals for lunchtime. Truly can not say how much we enjoyed having her in our home!!

Lauren is an extremely responsible, nurturing and kind sitter. She gave me a call when our baby had a tired breakdown (which she does with her parents) because she was concerned. Her ability to handle the situation was evident as she got her settled down and to sleep. Lauren sent me a text to let me know all was ok. We came home to our baby girl as snug as bug in a rug sleeping in Lauren's arms. We had her back a couple days later and have her scheduled again tomorrow. Highly recommended by us!

Lauren was so great with my baby girl. My daughter has started exhibiting some separation anxiety lately but showed none while being looked after by Lauren. She was punctual and very nice. We will call on her again.
