HOLIDAY AVAILABILITY: Hi! If you need help on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's -- I am available to babysit during the holidays this year. I currently am a nanny for 2 children (3 and 8) in the Hollywood Hills. If you would like a reference from my current family, please let me know! Below is more info about me: My name is Shannon Shields and I am from right outside Philadelphia, PA. I graduated from the University of San Diego, majoring in Theatre Arts and minoring in Business Administration. I continued my theatre education at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in New York City. I was home in Philly during a majority of the pandemic, but have recently moved to LA and am excited to be here! I am fully vaccinated. I love being active and outside, especially if I am doing something sports related. Does your child play a sport? I Read more can practice with them! I spend many of my nights during the summers helping girls around my neighborhood with their basketball skills. I also enjoy sitting in to watch a good move or tv show. Board games were my favorite when I had a babysitter. Monopoly and scrabble are my go-to games. If your child needs help with homework, I can help with that, too! I spent my last year of college as a tutor at St. Patrick's School in North Park, San Diego and am willing to learn or re-learn any subject based on your child's needs. Besides tutoring and helping my neighbors with their basketball skills, I have worked a great amount with children. Like I said, I worked at St. Pat's with students from grades K-8. During the summers I work at St. Joseph's University as a Camp Counselor for both the men and women's basketball camps and have spent past summers helping at Villanova Camps, as well. I have also coached many basketball teams for kids ages 6-12. While in NYC, I was a nanny for 3 children for almost two years. During the pandemic, I worked for a family of 3 -- 5 yr old, 3 yr old, and an infant. I worked with potty training the young girl and helped with the newborn from the time she was one month until one year. I would love to be able to help your family out or just allow you to have a night out without the kids! Please contact me if you have any questions!
