I became a caregiver in 2006 to two wonderful English children whom had just recently moved to New York City. Our bond was instant, and I remained with them until 2012. I left this household due to a tremendous amount of school work and volunteering needed to attain my future goals. I remain extremely close with them and I occasionally still fill in whenever needed. My duties ranged from helping out with homework, keeping them active, entertained, preparing the correct food and diet designated by their parents, scheduling and taking them to play dates and a variety of other tasks. Although I've had many other babysitting jobs since my first household, my most recent job was taking care of a little boy, from his first month, August 2013, until a couple of months ago when his mother became a stay at home mother full time. My work ranged from bathing, Read more feeding and all duties associated with taking care of a new born. Properly washing his clothes and keeping his belongings tidy were also part of the job. For the last two years I have interned and volunteered at NYP- Columbia Medical Center , more specifically Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. I have worked with children ranging from 1 month in age to 14, with rotations in General Surgery Department, Psychiatric Department, PICU and NICU. My time with the children include providing them with help in day to day activities, companionship and lots of play. Many of them are unable to commute from one place to another, or are in isolation, therefore keeping them active and cheerful is a major part of the job. With a range of projects, stimulating activities, and events, we are able to keep them in good spirits! Im addition to my work experience, June 2016 I completed a Degree in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Forensic Science. My organizational and multitasking skills have allowed me to successfully complete school while working and building a CV for medical school. I appreciate your time and consideration, and look forward to the opportunity of passing on my care and knowledge to your little ones. Best, ANA
