Most recently I finished babysitting for a family with a newborn and one dog. I was helping this family for about six months during days the mother had to attend her graduate degree classes - usually from 7 a.m. until around 5 p.m. I fed, burped, diaper changed, entertained, rocked, read and sometimes serenaded her with my awful voice. For one year, I babysat for a family with one 4-year-old, one 2-year-old, and two newborn twins. I mainly watched and cared for the older children while the mother was watching her newborn twins. I helped the mother with the twins when she called for me, but was mostly watching and keeping the older children occupied, entertained, and did a bit of teaching and reading with them during the school year. I also went on a three-day trip with this family for a wedding they had to attend out of the state. I watched all four children each day while the parents were at wedding festivities (about 5-8 hours a day) and road in the car with them to and from. 5 years ago I babysat a family with a 13-year-old, 11-year-old, 8 and 7-year-old. It was an after school thing. I picked them up, did homework with them, fed them dinner, and put them to bed.
